Michigan fell at Carver-Hawkeye Arena in a game that would feel impossible if you hadn’t seen the movie before.
The Wolverines had the game won and went home with an overtime loss. The craziest thing? It wasn’t even Iowa’s most substantial home comeback in the last week. These games happen in Iowa City, and old Michigan KenPom pages are littered with win probability graphs that evoke the same maddening emotion.
It was a frustrating result for a Michigan team that desperately needed a good night. The Wolverines were 39 minutes and 30 seconds away from having that good night and now have a long flight home with what’s certainly the lowest feeling they’ve had all season. It was also yet another night that showed just how much offensive firepower this team has if it can figure out how to bring it all together before it’s too late.
