Game 19: Minnesota at Michigan Preview

Michigan hosts Minnesota on Sunday afternoon (1:00 p.m., BTN) in a game it needs to put in the win column. Losing road games is going to happen to most teams in the league, but allowing a tough stretch away from home — Michigan has now lost three of four, all on the road  — to spiral into a disappointing home loss can be tough to overcome.

Minnesota is the worst team in the league according to any and all metrics, but it is also dangerous enough to knock off a quality opponent on a good day. The Golden Gophers are 1-6 in league games but shocked Ohio State in Columbus for that lone victory last week. Michigan knows about that potential all too well after dropping a December home game to Ben Johnson’s squad last season.

The Wolverines handled the Gophers in Minneapolis, 90-75, but will need a sharp effort to get back on track in Ann Arbor.
