Michigan will open the 2023 Big Ten Tournament on Thursday afternoon at 12:00 p.m. (BTN) against Rutgers.
The Scarlet Knights have lost six of their last eight games since losing starting wing Mawot Mag to an ACL injury on February 4th. Michigan won the only matchup this season, 58-45 in Piscataway.
The winner of Thursday’s matchup will face Purdue on Friday. Any path to the NCAA Tournament for Michigan hinges on beating at least Rutgers and Purdue.
Here’s the finalized 2023 Big Ten Tournament bracket.

Well, I like this draw. Every win would be Q1 and Rutgers is certainly not playing well coming in. Obviously beating Purdue is a tall order but they’re certainly not unbeatable. Hopefully this team has a run in them.
