Roster thoughts after Lee Aaliya’s surprise commitment

Michigan dipped into the international market with a late transfer commitment from Argentinian big man Lee Aaliya on Saturday.

Aaliya is the second member of Michigan’s 2023 recruiting class and the fourth offseason addition that Juwan Howard has made during a tumultuous summer. His commitment comes just days before the fall semester starts in Ann Arbor, with practice a month away.

Aaliya is a late addition who had an under-the-radar recruitment — he was just cleared as a collegiate prospect in early August — but he’s a valuable addition both for now and in the future.
