Michigan faced Marquette in a “secret scrimmage” on Saturday morning in Milwaukee. As reported by Trilly Donovan, the Wolverines won the scrimmage 115-111 in a game played with NBA-style 12-minute quarters.
The result was viewed as something of a surprise given preseason expectations. Marquette is considered the Big East favorite this year and checks in at 5th in the AP Preseason Top 25 poll. Michigan is unranked and picked to finish 11th in the Big Ten.
