More often than not, forgettable buy games are the best buy games.
After a week-long circus, Michigan finally took the floor and got the job done on Saturday afternoon. The Wolverines knocked off Eastern Michigan, 83-66, in a mature if unspectacular performance. The entirety of the second half was stop-and-start due to a rash of fouls on both sides, but Michigan was balanced, efficient, and consistent enough to salt away a comfortable win.
It might be the last game you remember in a few months when you think back on this Michigan season, but in this case, that’s for the best.
Michigan wasn’t going to prove it was a transformed team on Saturday. It just needed to show up and take care of business.
