Michigan returns from the holiday break to host McNeese State in a dangerous spot on Friday night (7:00 p.m., BTN-Plus). The Cowboys have amassed an impressive amount of talent in Will Wade’s first season and are heavy favorites to win the Southland Conference.
Wade was suspended for the first ten games of the year by the NCAA, but he’s back and has some crucial roster reinforcements to work with after multi-time transfers were declared eligible earlier this month.
The Cowboys are 10-2 with impressive wins over VCU, Louisiana, UAB, and Texas State but are just 3-2 away from home, including losses at West Carolina and Louisiana Tech.
McNeese enters tonight’s game ranked 91st, per KenPom, and poses one final non-conference test for the Wolverines before diving into conference play after the New Year.
