Michigan hosts Iowa on Saturday (5:00 p.m., FS1) for its first Big Ten rematch of the season. The Wolverines won at Iowa in early December in what felt like a last-ditch effort to keep the train on the track. The Wolverines followed that up with a win over Eastern Michigan before losing seven of their next eight.
The season has spiraled for a Wolverine program that has only won four games since the first week of the year, but playing at home with Dug McDaniel gives U-M a chance.
For its part, Iowa has mostly held serve without picking up any of the quality wins it needs to jumpstart its postseason hopes. The Hawkeyes are a somewhat respectable 11-8 (3-5 Big Ten) on the season and ranked 49th per KenPom, but they are 0-6 in Q1 games with bad home losses to Michigan and Maryland.
