Game 20: Iowa at Michigan Recap

Six weeks ago, Michigan went to Iowa City and won a game to keep its season on life support. On Saturday evening, Iowa returned the favor.

Of course, the Wolverines don’t have much life to play for at this point. They’ve lost eight of nine games, have the second-worst defense in the Big Ten, and their point guard is suspended for road games due to academic issues. When a team ready to “sim-to-end” meets a team playing to keep its season alive, this happens.

The Hawkeyes scored 1.27 points per possession, scored 16 times at the rim, and shot 50% from three. Michigan kept pace for a while but eventually lost by double digits on its home floor for the third time since Christmas.
