2023-24 Season

Game 27: Michigan at Northwestern Preview

In a season where the goal increasingly becomes getting to the end in one piece, Michigan heads to Evanston tonight (9:00 p.m., FS1) to face a Northwestern team looking to solidify its NCAA Tournament bid.

The Wolverines will be without Dug McDaniel and Olivier Nkamhoua, their leaders in every major stat, and have only won two of their last 15 games.

Northwestern is also shorthanded, having lost starting shooting guard Ty Berry for the season, but is on the cusp of making the NCAA Tournament for the second consecutive season. The Wildcats have impressive wins over Purdue,  Michigan State, and Illinois this season and have only lost once on their home floor, a shock December upset against Chicago State.

Northwestern is ranked 48th nationally, per KenPom, and will likely be a double-digit home favorite against the shorthanded Wolverines.
