Toledo graduate transfer guard Dante Maddox Jr. included Michigan on his top eight list today.
The Wolverines made the cut along with Illinois, TCU, Kansas, Louisville, Creighton, Oklahoma and Xavier. Maddox, a Chicago native, is visiting TCU today, per The Portal Report.
Maddox played his first two seasons at Cal State Fullerton before spending the last two years at Toledo. He played a complementary role in 2022-23, averaging 11.3 points per game, but increased his output to 15.6 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game this season.
New Michigan head coach Dusty May has a large task to rebuild Michigan’s 2024-25 roster, and versatile guards have been a key ingredient of May’s recipe for success at Florida Atlantic. Maddox fits that bill as a creator and 3-point shooter, with significant high-major interest.
