Ohio State guard Roddy Gayle Jr. commits to Michigan

Michigan added a transfer commitment from 6-foot-4 Ohio State guard Roddy Gayle Jr. today. Joe Tipton broke the news.

Gayle averaged 13.5 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game for the Buckeyes last season and will cross rivalry lines to head to Ann Arbor. He just finished his sophomore year in Columbus and will have two years of eligibility to play at Michigan.

Gayle joins North Texas’ Rubin Jones, Auburn’s Tre Donaldson, and Yale’s Danny Wolf in Michigan’s incoming transfer class, with more expected.

Here’s a full breakdown of the new Michigan guard, an assessment of his game, and how he fits in Ann Arbor.
