2024-25 Season

Michigan frontcourt construction focused on shooting, size and versatility

When Dusty May moved to the Mitten State, he realized it was time to get bigger.

During his time in the Conference USA and American Athletic Conference, May’s roster construction at Florida Atlantic saw an ample helping of small-ball. Rostering just two players listed at six-foot-nine or above with the Owls, while not everything has changed for the Indiana native, May admitted that with Big Ten play on his horizon, it was time to get bigger.

“I think we’re going to be able to play very similar,” May said Tuesday of his time at Florida Atlantic. “Obviously, it’s going to look a bit differently and we’re going to be bigger, we probably won’t be quite as fast, but we recruited to do the things that we think produce the most highest value shots and that’s what we’re always going to look for.”’
