Florida State transfer Jamir Watkins is planning to visit St. John’s and Michigan this week, according to a report by Jon Rothstein.
Adam Zagoria added that a visit to St. John’s has not been set at this point.
Watkins is one of the top transfers available after pulling out of the NBA Draft last week. He averaged 15.6 points, 6 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game for the Seminoles in his redshirt junior season.
Rothstein had previously reported that Watkins is considering St. John’s, Michigan, Florida State, Oregon, Kansas State and Cincinnati.
Dusty May addressed Michigan’s remaining scholarship in a podcast interview this week.
“So we are working with a sense of urgency, but we don’t feel like there’s any panic to add someone just to be adding,” he said on Defend the Block. “In our profession, there’s times when you just kind of sit and wait, and you’ll have a potential big-time player that can kind of fall to you because of the situation.”
Watkins would be the icing on the cake for a terrific portal haul that includes Vlad Goldin, Roddy Gayle Jr., Rubin Jones, Tre Donaldson, Danny Wolf and Sam Walters.

Just watched the highlights. Love the transition slam jams. Also what was going on with FSU’s uniforms last year? Missed a couple clips because I was focused on the wrong team.
