As the Michigan men’s basketball team continues recruiting the 2025 class, the Wolverines are closing in on a few top players and hosting several key visitors. One crucial target is Mazi Mosley, a 6-foot-5, four-star shooting guard who was on campus for Michigan’s football season opener and transferred to Montverde Academy for his senior year.
Mosley has been on Michigan’s radar for a while, but Dusty May and his staff first came across Mosley through his experience with USA Basketball. Mosley participated in a minicamp at the Final Four in April and then was one of the final cuts from the USA U18 team that won the FIBA AmeriCup this summer. Mosley stood out to the Wolverines and that interest has only picked up since.
“Michigan reached out to me,” Mosley told UM Hoops. “They saw me play at USA (Basketball) camp first. And then after that, they’ve been tracking me through the (NBPA Top 100 Camp). It was around the (Top 100 Camp) that they told me they were going to offer me.”
