Michigan officially announced that all three classes of 2025 commitments have been signed today.
Dusty May’s first full recruiting class features five-star guard Trey McKenney and four-star prospects Oscar Goodman and Winters Grady.
“I am excited to have Trey, Winters, and Oscar join our program,” May said in a statement. “All three are highly competitive players who come from great families. Each of them has a unique skill set which will allow us to continue playing the way we believe is best. They’ve all been coached, and developed, by some of the most respected and accomplished teachers of the game. We look forward to them getting to Ann Arbor.”
According to 247 Sports, the three-man class is ranked 11th nationally, with all three signings ranked in the top 100 nationally.
Here’s what May had to say about all three signees:
“Winters is a flat-out competitor,” said May. “He is tailor-made for how we want to play at Michigan. His ability to shoot the ball is one of the reasons he’s an ideal fit. His versatility and physicality, on both the offense and defense end, will allow him to be a factor for us right away. The more we dug in and got to know him and his family, the more we realized that this a guy that we need to have in our program.”
“Oscar arrives in Ann Arbor as an accomplished international player and prospect, who was just named to the New Zealand senior national team,” said May. “He comes from a tight-knit family that values everything that we want our program to be about. His training at the NBA Academy, as well as his eagerness and ability to compete, will allow him to affect our program positively from day one.”
“Trey embodies everything it means to be a Michigan Man,” said May. “He comes from a family of strong faith and high character. He has been taught how to play the game the right way and values competition. His versatility as a big, strong guard is going to be a tremendous asset to our program.”

Wolf/Donaldson/Gayle are potential seniors next year, but the underclass core is pretty intriguing:
Walters
Cason, Pippen, Brooks
McKenney, Grady, Goodman
Tons of versatility, shooting and scoring in that group. Feels like as solidified of a young core as I can remember on a scholarship chart for a while now.
Projecting these things in this era of college hoops can be a fool’s errand, but there’s basically everything but one or two great bigs in that mix.
Two years from now, potentially a lineup featuring most of those guys, but even next year I think there are a lot of potential contributors.

Yeah, I was trying to (but failed to) look ahead beyond that. Basically a core of:
Guards: Cason, Pippen, Brooks
Wings: Walters, McKenney, Grady,
Forwards: Goodman
Seems very intriguing to me moving forward.
Cason | McKenney is a fun combo, Walters/Grady provide shooting, Goodman provides a ton of versatility.
Lot of fun combos there that feel Dusty-ish.

I’d be stunned if we don’t win the Big Ten next season

I can see McKenney starting at the 2 next season. Welcome all three to the Michigan family! Go Blue!!
