The week certainly didn’t go exactly how Dusty May would have drawn it up, but Michigan is entering the weekend on the heels of a successful three-game stretch.
Sure, there’s a sunnier world where Michigan beat their in-state rival, still leads the Big Ten outright, and possibly even has a spot on the 2-seed-line in bracket projections, but there’s also a world where Michigan let one loss turn into two (or three), and at this point of the season, avoiding bad losses, grinding out ugly games, and playing through illness and injury is just as important as snagging a big win.
Everything is still on the table for this team, and Michigan has put itself in a great position to secure a top-4 seed in both the Big Ten Tournament and the NCAA Tournament. The countdown to March is in the hours now, not days, and soon, Michigan fans will see just how far this team can go.
