Q2 Offense or defense, which is better

I think you guys held them, maybe it was 13-15, I don't know, in the second half. Is your offense better or your defense?

Man, I think that when we're playing defense at the level that we know we can, I think that our defense is ridiculously elite. And that's going to be what carries us where we want to go this season.

Q5 Yaxel Lendeborg's Roddy Gayle jersey

Yaxel Lendeborg was wearing a Roddy Gayle jersey today.

Yeah, I heard it. Yeah. No. Yeah, I think that our— the way that our team has embraced one another and has absolutely zero jealousy towards one another and has really just been uplifting.

There's no 1v1 battles in practice. There's, I'm going to make you better and you're going to make me better. But there's absolutely zero jealousy in our locker room, which I think puts you in the 0.01% of college basketball when you have a locker room like that. And to have the face of your program doing that and embracing other people and embracing his teammates and Bringing the spirit that he does every day, that sets the tone for the entire team.

And I think he does a really, really good job with that as well as, I mean, you can go down the line. I mean, Morez Johnson wearing it, you know, Roddy Gayle and Yaxel Lendeborg always have their little inside jokes, you know, Elliot Cadeau. So I mean, it goes down the line. Everyone's doing that stuff, which is super, super great.

Your coaches have talked about comparing you to Salem, to Nice, like to potential first-round NCAA teams.

Q8 Improvement in turnover battle

Turnovers too were an issue last season and early on this season. I guess what do you attribute to your improvement in that? Because you guys have been winning the turnover battle.

Yeah, yeah. I would say like buy-in, like just taking care of the basketball, valuing the basketball, knowing that every possession, you know, when we have an OER as high as we do, you know, in the 1.2s, 1.1s, and, you know, we score when we're not turning the ball over. You know, those are points every time we're throwing away. We're throwing away 10 points, 11 points.

Early on in the season, we were throwing away 19 points a game. So for us to be able to, you know, keep the ball in our hands and score those points is big.
