Morez Johnson reacts to win over McNeese State

I honestly believe practice is way harder than games, especially when we playing against the second unit, you know. They challenge us every day, push us every day. I believe everybody on the team is a starter, you know, and something they can start somewhere else right now, but, um, they're here, they pushing us, we competing every day, we want to work with each other.

I talked to Coach May in April about it when he was, when everybody came here. You know, he told me how it was gonna go and it's going exactly how it's going. He said it would, you know, so that's a relief. But when I got back from Switzerland, I feel like we all connected pretty fast. I've never been on a team that gelled this fast. I think that's impressive as well. Got high-character guys on the team.

I don't even know. I know we spend time off the court with each other, but I think it just goes back to everybody's families, you know. Everybody's high character, everybody like each other, everybody wants to see each other succeed. And I think everyone know in order for them to reach their individual goals, we all have to have team success or nobody can reach anything.

I think everybody's aware of that. I think the coaching staff really like They push it on us, like Team Darren, Coach Mayhouse, stuff like that. We went to Coach Mayhouse like 3 or 4 times this summer.
