Q1 Defense sparking the offense

What is it about this team's defense seemingly sparking the offense?

We're so versatile, you know, we all like to run, we're all pretty athletic. Um, it's just, you know, Elliot Cadeau, Amari, they pressure the ball handler, they get a little worried, try to make, you know, lollipop passes. You know, we do the best we can to run through them or, you know, just tough on them. And then like I said before, Aday down low is like— I'd rather take anybody going down there with Aday.

You know, it's amazing. So I'm going to continue to have faith in him, blocking shots and contesting shots, and Morez Johnson as well.

Q5 Passing from Mara and Cadeau

Can you just talk about how important it is to have passers like Aday Mara, but also like Elliot Cadeau, who are able to, you know, spread the court and make things easy for you guys?

Man, it's amazing. It's great. Like, uh, you know, you're never gonna be on the court wondering when's the next time I'm gonna touch the ball, when's the next shot I'm gonna get, you know. None of us have that kind of mindset, which is always, always good to be a part of.

Um, and that again just helps our defense, you know, just makes me want to play better for you, makes me want to get your back if you get blown by, you know. And I've never been a cutter in my life, and it's like now I want to find a way to cut, you know, to help Aday Mara out if he's getting doubled. And it's, it's been working out in our favor.

Q6 Rivalry experience and Ohio State

Sorry, I'm just speaking one more and quickly. Your first time playing Ohio State, have you been in big rivalry games before? What sort of rivalry experience do you have, and what are your thoughts about Ohio State?

My only rivalry game has been against Memphis, and it was kind of like one of those rivalries where they're up like by 100 wins, but we just hate each other, you know. So it was that kind of thing. But Ohio State, I talked to Roddy a lot about it, you know, that's his old Purdue. So he explained to me the, like, the atmosphere, uh, and what it brought last year.

So I'm super excited, man. I know they got a really good player, really good point guard, if I'm not mistaken. So I'm super excited to go out there and see what we can do.
