Nimari Burnett reacts to win over UCLA

Yeah, yeah. He was very excited. He was almost starstruck. Yaxel Lendeborg is the type of guy, like, he's so super humble.

I mean, I'm sure you guys got that from him, but just super humble. And it's like he's little compared to these guys. I'm like, you on that level now. So it's a beautiful thing.

And just having these guys around is amazing. What was key to that second half? Defense and rebounding. As simple as that, but maximizing it, doing it together.

Communication was at an elite level in the second half. Honestly, I think it was, It reminded me of like when we played against Gonzaga. That second half was amazing. We were gonna take that into the next game against Purdue.

Yeah, it means a lot. I mean, you know, we know how much work that we put in as a group to maximize ourselves as a collective, and the goals that, you know, we set are very well much in play. I mean, this is a part of it. You know, being number 1 in the country is a blessing.

It shows how good we are together and continue to have that mindset as we go into another good stretch of our season. It's going to be very pivotal. I mean, I think what's up to say about this group, right?

Like, what is this special? I mean, from talking to coaching staff or like, you know, people that I've come across my collegiate career, just basketball in general, this is one of the most special groups of all time. And I'm just taking it one day at a time, enjoying every single moment with this group because it's not just on the court.

I know you guys see how we play together and we're having large margins, but man, we enjoy spending time off the court with each other. So that's beautiful.
