Q3 Getting the ball to Aday
And get the ball to Aday on 3. Is that what I hear?
No, it was— we were talking about defense. I think our defense was really bad in the first half. My defense was really bad. So as soon as we changed that, as soon as I changed that, it was just a much easier game.
Q6 Settling in with a tournament win
How nice is it to get your tournament under, you know, underneath you, get your feet underneath you, get a win and be moving on to the round of 32 now. How nice is it to just have a game under your belt in this NCAA tournament and having played on the floor, getting used to the environment?
It's great. Like last year I played 2 games. Hopefully we can play the 6 games this year. It's going to be tough because like everyone here, like they saw it today, everyone here is very talented players, very talented teams. So we cannot relax. During the games, but it feels great to have the first one. Down the stretch, we enjoyed this, but as soon as we get to the hotel, we got to prepare for the next game.
Q8 Defensive change in the second half
And what do you think was the biggest difference for you guys in that second half defensively, and what was the message that kind of allowed you guys to change?
Just the mentality, you know, like get to the games and get to the second half and just be ready to do what they do. You know, they were hitting hard shots. We also knew that it was tough for them to make all those tough shots during both halves. So I think just by increasing level of defense or intensity, we're gonna be good. So we did that, and we changed the game.
