Q1 Lessons from Wisconsin and Nebraska
What do you think you've learned from the Wisconsin, the Nebraska that could translate here?
I will say we can just trust Aday more, man perimeter, like on the perimeter. He's been doing a better job, you know, trying to move his feet and force people into tougher shots. And honestly, if we overhelp too much, I feel like that's when we're going to get picked apart. That's how it was that first time we played Wisconsin, Purdue, something like we helped out a little too much and they started kicking out for easy buckets. So we got to stay home, stay stable and do whatever we can to guard the yards.
Q7 St. Louis upset of Georgia
Did the way St. Louis beat Georgia last night surprise you guys? I mean, it's an 8-9 game. And what was your team reaction, I guess, to it?
I definitely was surprised. I only watched them play one time and it was against Loyola Chicago. That's my cousin's team. And they played well.
Loyola was struggling a little bit this year, so I didn't know if that was just against them. But seeing what they did to Georgia was very shocking to me. I know Coach Knight was talking about they're a really good team. I didn't know, so I was watching. I was genuinely surprised. So now I really got to bring my A-game.
Q10 Installing coverage for shooters and drivers
They have a lot of personnel that like their point guard, I think shoots a lot of threes. They have some guys who are more drivers. How do you guys build, like, you guys are gonna be guarding all those guys when you're switching and stuff. Is that a hard thing to install, I guess, in what, 48 hours?
Yeah, pretty much. Just cuz like everybody shoots, uh, uh, they have one guy who shoots like least than everybody else or less than everybody else. So I mean, we can guard him a little differently than everybody else. But other than that, it's going to be a lot of fan coverage and a lot of just like a lot of just finishing over bodies pretty much.
You know, we're going to try to not help as much and just guard, guard the yards, guard one-on-one. Same. Yeah, I would say like Wisconsin with a mix of Nebraska. They're both 5-out teams.
I would say their passing is more like Nebraska and just their spacing like Wisconsin. They do a really good job of moving the ball and playing off of people's mistakes. So the less mistakes we make, the better transition we should be.
