Q7 Pick-and-roll passes and Dusty's nicknames

Elliot Cadeau, Nancy on Washington USA today. Two questions. Was last night the first night that you had done that with pick-and-roll passes to Aday Mara that way? And then second question, Nimari and Will were just saying that Dusty has nicknames for all of you, and I'm wondering what yours is and what does that do in terms of team culture, the fact that he's got nicknames for everybody?

Yeah, that pass was definitely the first time. I think we haven't seen a big like the Arizona big Mo, and he was just like, he's really different out there. Like, he was blocking a lot of my lobs I was trying to throw. So we went to that pass one time and Dusty calls me Elliot Cadeau a lot. That's my nickname. It just shows like how much of a connection we all have with the coach that he could just call us all a nickname.

Q9 Building chemistry off the court

Elliot Cadeau, Emmanuel, CNN Sports. When you have so many people come in together kind of have to figure it out on the fly. How did you guys make that happen?

I don't mean necessarily just basketball-wise, but just humanity-wise. Um, just, just having a great connection like off the court as well, like, um, having a lot of team dinners, just hanging out with each other. This is one of the most connected teams I've played on that like actually hang out with each other off the floor. And just like I said this a lot of times, with just like having 5 different playmakers on the court at all times that are really good at passing.

Just makes it look like we have chemistry. I mean, we do have chemistry, but that just helps build it.

Q11 Winning a title for this group

Elliot Cadeau, on the broadcast last night, L.J. Cason said, "Try to get to this point losing and it's time to win one." What would it mean for this group to be able to win a national championship?

It would mean everything. Just all the hard work we've all put. A lot of us wasn't— weren't in the situation that we envisioned or were satisfied with last year. So, just being able to be on this stage this year and everybody's kind of playing the way that they wanted to play and showcasing the way that they wanted to showcase. And it would just mean everything to all of us.
