Will Tschetter reacts to win vs. UConn

It's not very often that, you know, you have a team where you have zero locker room issues all year. I can't even name one instance where we split even for a second. You know, we were tight-knit from day one. Our chemistry has always been there. You know, we get flamed a lot for being, you know, a little bit goofy and maybe not locked in.

In and, you know, listening to, you know, I mean, I don't really want to say it, but, you know, literally music and, you know, pop and everything. Unfortunately, you know, that's just who our squad is. You know, that's our identity. You know, we like to have fun, play loose, and obviously it worked for us.

man. I don't think so. I think, you know, kudos to Coach May and, you know, his ability to be able to, you know, piece together I don't want to say unexpected, you know, pieces, but, you know, you got a guy at USC who, you know, maybe didn't meet expectations but was still, you know, an amazing player. You know, Coach May, you know, knew that he could be a contributing piece and, you know, the leader of this team to, you know, bring us to, you know, the point that we're at right now.

You have Aday who was coming off the bench in year 2 under Coach Mick, and then, you know, Yaxel from UAB. So to be able to kind of fit those pieces all together, recognize the talent, you know, recognize together. You know, all credit to him and his ability to be able to do that. About to go out your senior year. I mean, you've been on a journey at Michigan State. Storybook, right?

Yeah. Yeah. I mean, I feel like I've had, you know, one of the most unique journeys in college basketball, obviously with redshirting my first year, being on a super talented team, making the Sweet Sixteen, you know, NIT next year, from DMPs to starting. And then obviously the '24 year, which was so heartbreaking and, you know, a little bit depressing.

And then, you know, to be able to come back and, you know, have this transformation of a program like this, you know, obviously a program that means so much to me and so many other people, you know, just means the world. And, you know, you think about leaving something better than you found it. I feel like all of our seniors can honestly say that, you know, we left better than we found it.

I feel like Yaxel was one of the main guys who set the tone for our team in being like, we're going to have fun. You know, we're not going to— obviously we know what the main thing is. We're here to win games, but, you know, we're going to have fun doing it. You know, we're going to be a tight-knit group. And I feel like he did a great job, you know,
