Cincinnati big man Moustapha Thiam commits to Michigan

Michigan added a commitment from 7-foot-2 Cincinnati center Moustapha Thiam today.

Thiam just completed his sophomore season at Cincinnati, putting up 12.8 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 0.5 assists in 27.2 minutes per game for the Bearcats. He’s a native of Senegal who attended prep school in Florida at DME Academy and played his freshman year at UCF.

He’s a consensus top-15 player in the portal and one of the best bigs available.

Thiam joins Tennessee transfer JP Estrella and LSU transfer Jalen Reed in Michigan’s three-man incoming transfer class.

After the jump, find a detailed scouting video, shot chart, scouting notes, and more on the third Michigan portal commitment of the 2026 cycle.
