Q5 Finding consistency across stretches
You guys played well on stretches but had some droughts as well. What's, what's the key to kind of finding that consistency?
I think it just starts with rebounding. I think if we don't give up the 20-odd rebounds, offensive rebounds, I think that limits their points and a few foul troubles here and there. It helps us just get into a flow more offensively as well.
Q18 Role when Morez Johnson returns
What do you feel like your role is on this team moving forward? Because obviously when Mo comes back, you'll probably go back and start 9s with him. How can you affect the game?
I think ultimately rebounding, like when we have, say, Mo missing, I think I can be better in that aspect as well. But I think being a bit of a leader as well, knowing that I'm one of the older guys here and I've been here for a while now and just helping the team just keep coming together more and more.
Q19 Locker room on 21 offensive rebounds
I mean, giving up 21 offensive rebounds, how much did you guys think about that in the locker room? How much was that hard to find?
Yeah, that was— that's been an area of just work-ons for us. We're definitely going to focus on that leading up to UConn because they're obviously going to be more physical, larger athletic team. And then with Moubaek, I think that's going to help a lot as well. But just knowing that we can't give up 21 boards every game or it's going to be a long season.
