Game 27: Michigan at Minnesota Recap

Michigan got off to a fast start at Minnesota, but its defense was the story of the game. The Wolverines never let the Golden Gophers get started and held their opponent below 20 first-half points for the second time in as many games.

Michigan only scored .83 points per possession in the opening period but still led by 10 points after holding the Gophers to a meager .53 points per possession and 23% effective field goal percentage.

Minnesota scored the first basket of the second half to cut the Wolverine lead to eight and never got closer. The Wolverines responded immediately with a 12-0 run and extended the lead to 21 points before coasting to a 69-60 victory.
