Smith averaged 22.8 points, 4.5 assists and 4.1 rebounds per game this season for Columbia. The 5-foot-11 guard is a native of Burr Ridge, IL and attended Fenwick High School.
Smith is a grad transfer and would be immediately eligible to play next season. Arizona is the other program involved in his recruitment at this time.
The Wolverines are also pursuing Harvard graduate Bryce Aiken, another point guard. Aiken’s top suitors are reportedly Seton Hall, Michigan, Michigan State, Maryland and Marquette.
