Michigan will open the 2025 Players Era Festival with games against San Diego State (Nov. 24) and Auburn (Nov. 25).
The expanded event features 18 teams and also includes Alabama (SEC), Baylor (Big 12), Creighton (Big East), Gonzaga (West Coast), Houston (Big 12), Iowa State (Big 12), Kansas (Big 12), Maryland (Big Ten), Notre Dame (ACC), Rutgers (Big Ten), St. John’s (Big East), Syracuse (ACC), Tennessee (SEC), Oregon (Big Ten) and UNLV (Mountain West). Matchups for the third game will be based on each team’s two-game record and performance.
According to CBS, the third game will be played on Wednesday, and teams will be seeded based on record with point differential, total points scored, and points allowed serving as tiebreakers. The title game is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. (local time) and the third-place game is set for 4:00 p.m. (local time). Other games will be slotted around those two.
Games will be played at the MGM Grand Garden Arena and Michelob Ultra Arena, with specific venues to be announced later this summer, according to CBS.
Michigan’s loaded non-conference schedule also features games against Wake Forest (Detroit), at TCU, home against Villanova, and in February against Duke in Washington D.C.
The Wolverines last faced Auburn in last year’s Sweet Sixteen and played San Diego State in 2021.

umhoops
43rd on Torvik. Magoon as @MichBolts says and Byrd is a stud.
Plus they have that floor of just being one of the top programs in their league so even on down years their computer numbers tend to come around.
Obviously, the third game has the potential to be very high profile too.
