I very much like Dusty. He is a wonderful communicator. However, he tends to extend his explanations too far, volunteering too much information. He needs to become more precise in his responses. Otherwise, there will come a time when he steps on himself because he gave too much color.

Or , is he purposely giving this information?

Dusty has noted he watches pre game pressers of other coaches. So I’d assume he’s extremely aware of what he’s saying here

Looking at Nova a bit… currently #2 in OR% but just doesn’t feel legitimate. It’s almost entirely coming from Duke Brennan. No one besides him even has an OR% above 7.
So while he likely is an elite OReb guy, he’s at highly unsustainable numbers right now. Once his rate comes down to a somewhat normal number, I imagine they are closer to an above average OReb team than an elite one. But should be good warm up for when we face Kohler and co.

Would never push for any coach or player to say less. But I also would pushback on the idea that Dusty isn’t considering what he’s volunteering in a situation like this. He’s a very intentional guy.
If there was something he didn’t want disclosed in the media, he wouldn’t say it.
