Michigan will open the 2026 Big Ten Tournament on Friday afternoon in the first game of the day at noon (eastern) on the Big Ten Network against either No. 8 Ohio State, No. 9 Iowa, No. 16 Oregon or No. 17 Maryland.
The Wolverines won the Big Ten outright to earn the No. 1 seed. The 4 and 5 seeded teams in the top half of the bracket are No. 4 Illinois and No. 5 Wisconsin. Wisconsin will face the winnoer of No. 12 Washington and No. 13 USC.

Whoops… since UM has been the heavy favorites for the 1 seed for weeks I should have bought the early session tickets on Friday before the Illini were locked in for the second game of the session. Tickets were as cheap as $65 last week, now they are $115 to get in, which is the highest I can see for the entire tournament.
