Oregon State gave Michigan a test on Friday night, but the Wolverines held on for a 98-93 win over their old assistant coach’s new program.
While this Michigan team isn’t going to play three bigs, it’s developing a big three. Elliot Cadeau, Trey McKenney and Moustapha Thiam combined for 64 of Michigan’s 98 points, despite the starting backcourt playing only 17 first-half minutes due to foul trouble.
Cadeau led the way with 27 points (26 in the second half) and eight assists, while Thiam added a 19-point, 10-rebound, five-assist double-double in 31 minutes.
