What we learned from Michigan’s West Regional run

Michigan extended its winning streak to 13 games over the weekend with a pair of NCAA Tournament victories in Los Angeles. The Wolverines are now 32-7 overall and heading back to the Final Four for the first time since 2013.

Charles Matthews isn’t just fixed — he’s breaking out

During Michigan’s run through the Big Ten Tournament, Charles Matthews notably stepped back into a lower usage role and improved his efficiency.

Matthews is leading Michigan in scoring (16.5) and rebounding (7.3) in the NCAA Tournament. He’s been playing¬†incredibly sound basketball on both ends of the floor while increasing his usage back toward its early season levels.
