Michigan hosts Oregon on Saturday afternoon for a marquee matchup of top ten teams. The Ducks have been better on offense than defense this season, but Dana Altman’s defensive scheme is still difficult to prepare for.
Oregon’s defense presents many problems because it is a combination of man and zone. Oregon will typically start every defensive possession with some sort of press, this is typically to slow the opponent down. Typically it is a 1-2-2 press that will flow into their defense, either man to man or their matchup zone.
