Michigan hasn’t won a game at Northwestern by more than a basket since January 2013. The Wolverines escaped last season with a narrow victory but are just 1-3 in their previous four road games against the Wildcats.
Meanwhile, Chris Collins’ program continues to head in the wrong direction. Northwestern lost 12 of 13 games to finish the 2018-19 season and has dropped 12 of its last 13 games this season. The Wildcats have come close — blowing significant second-half leads against Maryland, Purdue, and Rutgers — but they’ve only won one game since December.
Michigan heads to Evanston (9:00 p.m., BTN) tonight in need of a road victory to solidify its recent momentum and keep its NCAA Tournament team sheet clear of bad losses.
