Freshman wing Cole Bajema hit the transfer portal on Tuesday night, marking Michigan’s third departure since the season ended.

1. Sorting through Bajema’s freshman year
Cole Bajema was the first substitute of the Juwan Howard era. He replaced Adrien Nunez in the lineup just over three minutes into Michigan’s exhibition game. In hindsight, that substitution appeared to be more of a bench miscommunication than an indicator of where he stood in the pecking order. He didn’t check back in until there were five minutes left in the game and didn’t see the floor in Michigan’s first two games of the season.
