Cupps is a 6-foot-2 point guard from Centerville, Ohio who also holds offer from Indiana, Ohio State, Kansas State, Clemson, Cincinnati, Dayto, Charleston, Miami (OH), Xavier and others this summer. Cupps took an unofficial visit to Michigan in June and was named a 247 Sports July stock riser:
Gabe Cupps is a winning point guard who never gets too high or low. He excels at running a team, making open shots, and racking up the hockey assists in the halfcourt. Cupps is a skilled and reliable guard who is at his best playing in structure
As a sophomore, Cupps led Centerville to a state championship and averaged 15.2 points, 4.9 assists and 1.7 steals per game. He made 35 percent of his 3s and shot 82 percent from the free throw line.
