Obviously many reasons things have turned out the way they have so far. But I really wonder how much of all of this is simply a function of age versus experience. This is a quirky year with most teams being older than they ever have been. Even Rutgers starts four guys that have played together for at least four years. With no real junior or senior class Michigan has four freshmen and two sophomores in the rotation. I have noticed that few teams start any freshmen at all. Maybe we should just understand and evaluate the season in this special context.
