If there’s one thing that Gavin Griffiths wants to make clear, it’s that his recruitment is very much wide open.
And the race to land Griffiths — a four-star small forward and the 37th-best player in the Class of 2023, per 247Sports’ composite rankings — is heating up.
Michigan offered Griffiths a scholarship on March 2, entering the picture later than other schools. But the Wolverines have since made a strong first impression on the 6-foot-7 Griffiths, who plays for Kingswood-Oxford School in Connecticut and has turned heads on the AAU circuit for Expressions Elite.
“I’m just very grateful to be being recruited by them,” Griffiths told UM Hoops Tuesday. “I’m so fortunate to be in this position. Michigan is such a great program that I watched all the time growing up. So it’s just been a great process so far.”
