Q&A: Four-star big man Papa Kante set for Michigan visit

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Class of 2023 four-star forward Papa Kante, a 6-foot-10 Michigan recruit who attends South Kent Prep School in Connecticut, had a fine showing at the third session of the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League (EYBL) last weekend at the Kentucky Fair and Exposition Center. He averaged 12.6 points, 9.8 rebounds and 1.0 blocks per game for NY Renaissance 17U and was named to the EYBL Louisville Second Team.

Kante’s offer from the Wolverines came in December of last year. He also holds offers from at least 14 other programs including Kansas, Georgetown, Iowa, Maryland, Miami, Pittsburgh, Rutgers and Syracuse, according to 247Sports.
