Five takeaways from Michigan’s win at St. John’s

Michigan dominated St. John’s on the road on Monday night, picking up its first win over a high-major opponent in impressive fashion. The Wolverines led by 26 points midway through the second half and won their 11th consecutive game at Madison Square Garden.

“Just give Michigan credit, they were brilliant at every phase of the game,” Rick Pitino said after the loss. “Even out-of-bounds plays, they were great.”

It was a night where everything clicked into place and another night that hinted at Michigan being better than anyone expected.

Here are Five Takeaways from Michigan’s win, featuring Dug McDaniel, Nimari Burnett, transition offense, and the one stat that should make you believe in Michigan’s hot start.
