The Big Ten officially announced the double plays for the 2026-27 conference season today.
The Wolverines will play two games against Michigan State, Ohio State, and Minnesota this year, facing the other 14 league teams once.
Michigan will face Illinois, Iowa, Maryland, Northwestern, Oregon, Purdue, and Washington at home only. It’ll travel to Indiana, Nebraska, Penn State, Rutgers, UCLA, USC, and Wisconsin.
The Spartans and Buckeyes are both “protected” rivals that will face Michigan twice every season. Ohio State was added to that list last season when Dusty May and Jake Diebler agreed to play twice every season. The Wolverines swept both rivals last season.
Minnesota finished 8-12 in the league last year in Niko Medved’s first season in charge. That’s a double play that will add some spice because former Wolverines Winters Grady and Malick Kordel both transferred to Medved’s program during the offseason. Williams Arena is also the only Big Ten venue where Dusty May hasn’t won a game since he was hired as Michigan’s head coach.
The Wolverines went 19-1 in Big Ten play last season, won the conference by four games, and won the National Championship.
The full conference schedule is usually announced in September.
In non-conference play, Michigan is set to face Duke, UConn, Marquette, Villanova, and play three games at the Players Era in Las Vegas, with more dates to be announced. Keep track of all future scheduled dates on our future schedules page.

Those 2 plays for Indiana are nice if their portal haul pans out.

Why? Worried about Minnesota tampering with Michigan’s reserves?

The former PAC 12 double plays are diabolical. You’d think it’d be a big advantage if all these west coast teams weren’t charmin soft and crying about “time zones”

That looks like a fairly favorable road draw for us.
