What we learned from Michigan’s West Regional run

Michigan extended its winning streak to 13 games over the weekend with a pair of NCAA Tournament victories in Los Angeles. The Wolverines are now 32-7 overall and heading back to the Final Four for the first time since 2013.

Charles Matthews isn’t just fixed — he’s breaking out

During Michigan’s run through the Big Ten Tournament, Charles Matthews notably stepped back into a lower usage role and improved his efficiency.

Matthews is leading Michigan in scoring (16.5) and rebounding (7.3) in the NCAA Tournament. He’s been playing incredibly sound basketball on both ends of the floor while increasing his usage back toward its early season levels.
