Michigan and Michigan State have spent the season zig-zagging back and forth at the top of the Big Ten’s standings. On Sunday afternoon, they’ll finally meet.
While neither team is playing its best basketball at this point in the season, both have demonstrated that they are the class of the Big Ten. With a home-and-home series scheduled over the final two weeks of the regular season, they’ll finally be able to settle the debate for in-state bragging rights and perhaps a Big Ten Championship.

The Spartans
Michigan State is one of three teams ranked in KenPom’s top 10 in adjusted offensive and defensive efficiency. The Spartans might not have as much NBA-caliber talent on this year’s roster, but they’ve outscored league foes by Big Ten-best 16.6 points per 100 possessions.
