Michigan signees Caleb Houstan, Kobe Bufkin and Moussa Diabate were named to the McDonald’s All-American Game roster today.
Houstan, Bufkin and Diabate are Michigan’s first McDonald’s All-America signees since Daniel Horton in 2002.

Houstan and Diabate are both five-star prospects and the headliners of Michigan’s No. 1 ranked class of 2021 recruiting class. Bufkin is regarded as a top-50 prospect nationally and the three will be joined by Frankie Collins, Isaiah Barnes, and Will Tschetter in Ann Arbor. The Wolverines have three commitments playing in the game which is more than any other school in the country.
Houstan is the No. 8 ranked player in the 2021 class and has been putting together a stellar season at Montverde with multiple impressive performances in nationally televised showcase games.

Diabate, ranked 18th in the class, has excelled at IMG Academy where he plays with several other Michigan targets including Jett Howard, Jaden Bradley, Jarace Walker and Eric Dailley.

Bufkin is ranked 42nd nationally, per 247 Sports Composite, and is a playmaking combo guard who can finish inside and from 3-point range.

Despite announcing a complete roster, the 2021 McDonald’s All American Games will not take place for a second year in a row due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The nominees and players will be honored through a virtual celebration.
